(Milwaukee, WI) — Milwaukee police say an armed man wearing a ski mask was arrested near the Republican National Convention on Monday.
Officials said the man was first noticed by U.S. Capitol Police just blocks away from the Fiserv Forum. The officers determined the suspect had a gun in his backpack while not having a concealed carry permit. The man’s motive has not been determined.
Security at the RNC has been ramped up following the assassination attempt on former President Trump over the weekend.
