UPDATED: Traffic stalled on I-94 as witnesses report overturned cement truck

UPDATE: 12:45 p.m.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning. Authorities say the driver, 49-year-old Corey Cook, was traveling eastbound when the vehicle traveled over a soft asphalt patch and lost control, overturning onto the interstate and spreading debris across the road. Traffic remains slowed, as one lane remained temporarily closed for two hours.

Crews are currently working to clear the scene and recover the overturned vehicle. Cook was not charged in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.

FARGO, ND —  Traffic is mostly stalled on East bound I-94 due to what witnesses are saying is a vehicle crash.

WDAY Radio is hearing reports of an overturned cement truck on eastbound I-94 near the Red River Valley Fairgrounds, which is partially blocking the eastbound lane at this time. Traffic remains slowed on eastbound I-94 at this time.
