Fargo Police investigating Sunday evening stabbing at homeless encampment

(FARGO) – Fargo Police are investigating a stabbing on Sunday.

According to Sgt. Daniel Hulbert of the Neighborhood Services Division, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of NP Avenue for a report of a stabbing just after 9 p.m. Through a preliminary investigation, officers learned that the male victim was at an encampment under the 1st Avenue North Bridge when he got into an argument with another male, identified as Anthony Patrick Jensen.

 Jensen hit and stabbed the victim with a knife, causing minor injuries. Sanford Ambulance and Fargo Fire provided medical treatment to the victim at the scene, but he refused to be transported to a local hospital.

Jensen, 38, with no permanent address, was arrested for aggravated assault and booked into Cass County Jail.
