Fargo man arrested as prime suspect in shooting death appears in court

FARGO – A Fargo man arrested for the shooting death of another man at the Arbor Apartments last week has made his first court appearance.

A judge set bond at $50,000 dollars for 20-year-old Amire Logan. If he posts that or pays $5,000 he can be released from jail.

Logan is facing two felony counts of unlawful possession of a firearm. He was originally booked on a felony murder charge for the shooting death of Zion Brooks. According to court documents, the two men knew each other, and were known to have a “beef.” The shooting remains under investigation and charges could be upgraded.

Logan’s next hearing is scheduled for August 14.
