Fargo City Commissioner John Strand: “we don't talk enough about fentanyl”

(Fargo, ND) — Fargo City Commissioner John Strand says there is a problem in the city that is not getting the attention that it deserves.

“I don’t think we talk enough about fentanyl real frankly, and the implications of fentanyl and what it’s doing to our families, our people. This is nothing on the other side of the tracks. That’s been an issue for me and it still really is an issue,” said Strand.

Strand said Fentanyl abuse negatively impacts other areas including housing, homeless, evictions, and people who are “struggling to survive in life.”

Strand is seeking his third term on the commission.

He made the comments while appearing on The Flag’s “What’s on Your Mind”.
