(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild’s playoff hopes continue to get slimmer following a 5-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche at the Xcel Energy Center.
Declan Chisholm scored a goal in the second period to get Minnesota within one, but Colorado lit the lamp twice in the third to seal the game. Vinni Lettieri also had a goal for Minnesota. The Wild are in sixth place in the Central Division with 81 points and a 36-30-9 record.
They host the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday afternoon.
