Early morning crash leaves one dead in Beltrami County

(Beltrami County, MN) — A Minnesota man is dead following a crash in Beltrami County this morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened on MN Highway 72 east of Blackduck around 1:45 a.m. Saturday morning. The driver, an unidentified man from Blackduck, was traveling northbound when the vehicle went off the roadway and into the right ditch. The man died from his injuries, but an exact time of death is not publicly known.

Authorities say the road was wet when they arrived, but have not made a determination as to what caused the crash known to the public.

Several agencies responded to the crash; including the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, Blackduck Police Department, Blackduck Fire Department, Blackduck First Responders, and Blackduck Ambulance.
