(New York, NY) — New York writer E. Jean Carroll says the verdict in former Presient Trump’s civil defamation trial is “a huge defeat for every bully who has tried to keep a woman down.”
On Friday, a Manhattan jury ordered Trump to pay Carroll over $83 million after he defamed her and denied allegations that he sexually assaulted her in the 1990s. Last year, Trump was ordered to pay Carroll $5 million dollars when he was found liable for the assault.
The former president has vowed to appeal the decision.
