Cold Air Set To Replace Warm November

A pleasantly warm November is set to be replaced with below normal temperatures as cold air spills into the Northern Great Plains out of Canada next week.

November has been a nice extended blend of warm fall days. Most of North Dakota has experienced above average warmth for the first two weeks of the month with highs in the 40s and 50s even a few 60-degree days in some areas.

One more burst of warmth will surface after a blustery cool day today (Thursday 11/16/23). This weekend will again contain 40s and some low to mid 50s mainly south of the I94 corridor. For reference, the average high in Fargo is 38 degrees today. Enjoy the nice weather as changes brew on our horizon.
Another low is expected to strengthen to our east that will pull down a good chunk of ‘wintery’ temperatures in the 20s to low 30s along with windy conditions. Overnight lows are expected to fall into the teens to single digits in spots.
