(Minneapolis, MN) — Minnesota is launching a more than 23 million dollar cybersecurity plan to help schools and local governments.
The Minnesota IT Services and Cybersecurity Task Force said the Whole-of-State Cybersecurity Plan will strengthen cyber defenses against security threats.
IT officials say they will also help Tribal Nations, along with local governments and schools with resources they need to enhance their existing baseline cybersecurity capabilities.
The announcement comes as several schools in the state have experienced potential data breaches.
