(Fargo, ND) — Governor Tim Walz is announcing that Minnesotans will start getting tax rebate checks as early as this week.
The payments are up to $1,300 hundred dollars per household.
Individual filers will receive $260.
Married couples will receive $520.
Families with dependents will receive $260 dollars apiece for up to three dependents.
Minnesotans with a gross adjusted income of up to $75 thousand in 2021 are eligible.
They will not have to apply for the rebates.
Meanwhile, House Minority Leader Lisa Demuth is criticizing the rebates, saying the amounts are a fraction of the $2,000 rebate checks Walz promised while on the campaign trail.
