Wet Start To August

Several rounds of rain since the beginning of August have really helped out the crops, yards, and gardens! Most locations across North Dakota are well above average rain to help catch up from a drier first half of summer. Better late than never but these rains would have been very beneficial a month or two earlier.

Most of North Dakota falls in a 100-500% normal rain for the first 13 days, while portions of northeast ND are falling a bit behind at 10-80%. The following week is looking rather dry but there are a couple of minor disturbances that could bring some rains into the NE portion of ND, it’s just not looking like much.
