On Monday night the Minnesota Twins and San Francisco Giants began a three game series at Target Field in Minneapolis.
The Giants began the scoring in the top of the first inning. J.D. Davis hit an RBI double to give the Giants a 1-0 lead. Michael Conforto was the next batter and he hit a 413 foot three-run homer, extending the lead to 4-0. San Francisco wouldn’t score another run the rest of the game.
Bailey Ober was responsible for giving up all four runs in his start. Ober would complete five innings while striking out a pair of batters, but ended up being tagged with the loss.
The Twins’ lone run came from a Kyle Garlick 427 foot solo home run in the eighth inning, cutting the deficit to 4-1, but Minnesota wouldn’t get any closer.
