(BISMARCK, ND) — Governor Kelly Armstrong has signed nearly 500 bills into law that will affect areas ranging from the cost of insulin to adding transparency to Legacy Fund investments.
Going forward, the price of insulin for commercial insurance carriers will be capped at 25 dollars a month. It does not apply to the self-insured market. The transparency bill will set up a public website that lists all Legacy Fund investments. Another bill repealed a decades-old law that gave harsher penalties to anyone who knowingly gives HIV to another person.
The legislature must finish its business by May 9. It is limited to 80 days in session every two years.
