Hillsboro voters approve school’s 12-mill increase

(HILLSBORO, ND) – Voters in the Hillsboro Public School District have overwhelmingly supported a 12-mill increase.

Superintendent Jon Dryburgh says 479 voters turned out for the special election, with 328 voting for the increase – or 68.5 percent. He says 55 percent was needed to pass the measure.

The mill levy increase would add tax revenue each year for the next 10 years.

The increase takes effect next year.
