134 arrests or citations given during Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign in ND

NORTH DAKOTA – Law enforcement arrested 62 people on suspicion of driving under the influence and gave out 72 other alcohol and drug-related citations during the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign in North Dakota in March.

Eighteen people were arrested on drug offenses. There were 13 arrests or citations for minor in consumption, minor in possession and minor zero tolerance and 16 for open container.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation says alcohol was a factor in 31 percent of traffic deaths in the state in 2023. Officials remind you drinking and drug related crashes, deaths and arrests are completely preventable by getting a sober ride.
