(ST PAUL, MINN) – The Minnesota Department of Health is delaying layoffs made public Monday.
A temporary restraining order issued by the federal district court in Rhode Island has given officials ‘additional short-term certainty’ around funding, which allows for the delay of the layoff process.
Beginning April 1, the Department sent both layoff and separation notices to approximately 170 employees due to the terminated federal grants. Those layoffs are now effective May 13.
