(FARGO, ND) – The TEDxFargo event is expanding.

“We usually do it in one day, but this year we’re like, you know what? The community wants more,” Liz Campbell, Director of Events and Experiences at Emerging Prairie, told WDAY Radio’s Rocky Schneider on Rocky’s Downtown Hour. “Let’s give them more.”

More than 3,000 TEDx events happen nationwide annually. This year’s Fargo event is scheduled for July 23-24.

“Ours is one of the biggest and one of the ones that gets highlighted the most because we’re creative with what we do,” Campbell said. “We can get people together, have a speaker up on the stage and do the event. But what we do is we activate downtown. We activate the community.”

This year’s theme is ‘Thread.’

“It really is working on exploring the connections between people, ideas, and experiences,” Campbell said. “Those are the threads that shape our world. We’re going to highlight the unseen patterns and the shared stories that really bind us together across disciplines, backgrounds and generations.”
