High Light Vapes no longer able to do business in MN after lawsuit settlement

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – A Ramsey County court bans High Light Vapes, along with its owner, from doing business in Minnesota.

The company, whose products look like highlighters, agreed to the order as part of a settlement of Attorney General Keith Ellison’s lawsuit. Ellison argued High Light Vapes can be easily hidden and used by children violating state law against deceptive tobacco marketing appealing to kids.

If the company does business in Minnesota again, it could be fined $50,000.

“Businesses that look to sell dangerous and addictive e-cigarette products to Minnesota’s youth are on notice—don’t do it,” Ellison said. “I will not tolerate selling vaping products to appeal to young people in Minnesota. And I will continue to use the tools afforded to my Office to stop deception, consumer fraud, and other unlawful practices and prevent a generation of younger Minnesotans from becoming hooked on nicotine.”
