(BISMARCK, ND) – North Dakota’s version of the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, is one step closer to reality.
On Friday, the North Dakota Senate passed House Bill 1442 by a vote of 41-4. The bill would create a legislative task force on government efficiency, to include a total of 10 members – ranging from the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Chief Operating Officer for the Governor’s Office, a statewide elected official, a North Dakota resident and three members from each of the legislative bodies.
The bill goes back to the House for a vote – and if they concur, it heads to Governor Kelly Armstrong.
