(Bismarck, ND) -- A reminder for drivers, the click-it-or-ticket campaign is now underway in North Dakota.

The National Highway Safety and Traffic Administration is asking police to target drivers between the ages of 18 and 34; the group most often involved in deadly crashes. Patrol units across the state plan to aggressively pursue seatbelt enforcement, as 48% of all fatal crashes in 2023 involved an unbuckled driver.

Failing to buckle up can cost the driver $20 for each unbuckled person in the car, and the campaign runs through June 2nd.
